KYC (Know Your Customer) is a verification process that helps protect our community from fraud, duplicate accounts, and regulatory issues.

What Is KYC?

  • Ensure fair rewards distribution (one account per person)
  • Prevent multi-account abuse
  • Comply with global anti-money-laundering (AML) regulations
  • Build a trustworthy community
  • Make public listings possible (most listing venues require it)

Why KYC at BestieMe?

We chose not to require KYC during the platform points phase. You can sign up, start earning, and explore the community without uploading any documents. KYC will only become relevant before the Program Milestone Event, when on-chain BSTM will actually be distributed.

To keep verification meaningful and fraud-resistant, KYC will be offered to members who have reached Level 1 (Verified Miner) on the Miner Level ladder. Reaching Level 1 simply shows you are a consistent, genuine member — exactly the kind of standing KYC is designed to confirm. You can track your progress toward Level 1 on your Miner Level page.

What Happens If I Skip KYC?

  • If your jurisdiction allows on-chain claims without KYC, you may be able to claim BSTM with limits.
  • If your jurisdiction requires KYC for on-chain distribution, you'll need to complete verification to claim.
  • Some optional features may require KYC even where not mandatory.

Referral Rewards and KYC

Referral rewards are credited instantly but remain provisional until verification. When a friend joins with your code, both of you are credited right away — but the reward you earn as the inviter (currently 5 BSTM per friend) becomes 100% yours only once that friend passes KYC.

When you complete KYC, only the referral rewards earned from friends who have also passed KYC are confirmed and retained. If a friend you referred does not complete KYC, the reward you received for that friend will be removed from your balance.

We do this because some people try to abuse referrals by creating fake or duplicate accounts and self-referring to mint BSTM dishonestly. KYC confirms that each referred friend is a real, unique person. By sharing your referral link or code, you agree to these conditions.

Privacy and Security

  • KYC processing is handled by a regulated third-party provider, not BestieMe directly
  • Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest
  • BestieMe receives only a verification result, not your raw documents
  • You may request deletion of KYC data after verification

  • Is KYC free? Yes. There is no fee to complete KYC at BestieMe.
  • How long does KYC last? Valid as long as your account is active.
  • Can I use a fake document? No. Fake documents result in permanent ban and rewards forfeiture.
  • No government ID? Use the platform during the points phase. Alternative verification at the Program Milestone Event.
