1) Be Respectful — Basics
- Treat others with dignity. No harassment, bullying, threats, or hateful behavior.
- Use clear, considerate language. Disagree without being disrespectful.
- Follow group owners’/admins’ directions where applicable.
2) Safety & Privacy
- Do not share someone else’s private information (addresses, phone numbers, IDs, financial details, private photos/chats) without consent.
- Do not encourage self-harm or dangerous activities. If someone is at risk, report via the Help Center.
- Protect your own account: use a strong password and never share your login code.
3) Prohibited Content
The following are not allowed on BestieMe. This protects users and complies with platform requirements including Google AdSense and Firebase policies:
- Sexual/explicit content, sexual exploitation, or nudity intended for sexual gratification.
- Copyright infringement or piracy (unlicensed movies/music/software, re-uploads you don’t own).
- Illegal content or activity, threats, hate speech, or violent extremism.
- Glorification of violence or serious injury.
- Fraud, scams, or deception, including fake giveaways or phishing.
4) Media & Upload Rules
- Only upload media you have the right to share. Respect others’ copyrights and privacy.
- Thumbnails, reels, photos, and videos must comply with these Guidelines (no explicit/illegal content).
- Do not upload malware or files designed to harm devices.
5) Messaging & Groups
- Use messaging for genuine, direct conversation—no unsolicited mass messages or spam.
- Do not share doxxing info or targeted harassment in chats.
- Group owners/admins may set extra rules; follow them or leave the group.
- We do not routinely monitor private chats. In cases of serious policy violations or legal necessity, required chat records may be reviewed by the site owner via Firebase Console (see Privacy Policy).
6) BestStore Marketplace Conduct
Peer-to-peer only: BestieMe is not a party to transactions on BestStore and does not handle payments, shipping, or dispute resolution.
- Buy/Sell at your own risk. You are solely responsible for your decisions and outcomes.
- No platform liability. We are not responsible for losses, damages, or scams.
- Report fraud with evidence. If you provide evidence of a fraudulent seller, we will review and may permanently suspend that account. Any loss or damage remains your responsibility.
- Describe items honestly; no counterfeit, stolen, or illegal goods.
7) Spam, Scams & Impersonation
- No spammy posting, scripted mass invites, link-farms, or unrelated advertising.
- No impersonating other people, brands, or public figures. Parody must be clearly labeled as parody.
- No phishing or attempts to obtain passwords, codes, or financial info.
8) Enforcement Ladder
- Step 1 – Warning: We may warn and request changes or content removal.
- Step 2 – Limited Features: Temporary limits (e.g., posting or messaging restrictions).
- Step 3 – Suspension: Temporary account suspension for repeated or serious violations.
- Step 4 – Permanent Ban: For severe harm, illegal activity, or repeated violations.
Examples: sexual or illegal content → removal and suspension; repeated copyright abuse → removal and potential permanent ban; fraud in BestStore → permanent suspension of the offender after review.
9) Reporting & Appeals
- Use the Help Center to report harassment, copyright claims, sexual/legal violations, scams, bugs, or account issues.
- For copyright/DMCA matters, include required details (see Terms of Service) or email bestiemehelp@gmail.com.
- If you believe moderation was an error, submit an appeal via the Help Center with clear context and evidence.
10) Legal & Platform Standards
- Content and behavior must comply with applicable laws and platform rules (including Google AdSense and Firebase standards).
- We may disclose information if legally required by a court or law-enforcement request. See Privacy Policy for details.
11) Changes to These Guidelines
We may update these Guidelines from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in-app or by email. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated rules.
